2. Open the Switches

3. Remove the Four Bolts
Located at the bottom of this unit are four bolts that need to be removed for you to pull off the motor unit from its housing.
4. Remove the Hose from Pump

5. Remove Unsafe Disconnect
There are two screws that need to be removed in order to take off the Unsafe Disconnect. Make sure the pump is still connected to your bike’s frame and then unscrew these two screws in opposite directions while pulling on the wires to disconnect.
6. Take the Pump Out of Your Bike’s Frame
The pump should now be out of your bike frame, hold onto the aluminum frame and place a towel around it in order to protect it from scratches or dings.
7. Clean the Pump
After unscrewing the back of the pump, take a can of compressed air and spray into all openings of the pump. You may want to do this at the same time as you clean the pump filter. 8. Replace Filter
If the filter is a canister, unscrew the bottom of the canister and take out old filter and replace with new one.
9. Put Pump Back Together
Unscrew any other screws you can find on your pump. If you find screws that are too tight, use a wrench and make sure the screwdriver doesn’t slip off the screw head when turning it. Once all screws are removed, start putting together your pump by following these steps:
- Put the base of your pump back on
- Screw in any screws that were sticking out of the base
- Put back together any pieces that may have fallen out during disassembly
- Screw in any screws from outside the base as well
